Build Structure and Floor Plan
Industry-standard hard floors covered by vinyl antistatic tile and overhead wiring systems for better cooling capability, better fire suppression and more secure cable infrastructure.
Built to meet or surpass local area building codes and seismic requirements.
Power
The standard electrical circuit is 20 amps/110 volts of AC power and is supplied to each cage and cabinet by two separate circuits, which is in turn fed by independent power from a redundant source.
Each facility is supported by a bank of UPS units to ensure consistent power quality to customer servers and supporting network equipment.
The facilities also have redundant back-up generators capable of supplying a full load to the facility within 14 seconds of being activated and running for 48 hours with the fuel onboard.
Security
In addition to a 24/7 security guard, access to the data center floor is controlled by a biometric scanner and an access badge reader.
Cages and cabinets are locked and require an escort for access.
Video monitors and motion detectors are placed throughout the data center and around the building perimeter.
Fire Suppression
FM 200 Fire Suppression is a gas-based system for fire suppression and is non-toxic gas that suppresses fires chemically.
Dry Pipe Sprinklers provide backup to the FM 200 system and is not charged with water until activated.
Network
Leveraging our company's , each facility features redundant connections within the data center LAN and on the Wide Area Network (WAN).
In the LAN environment, each server is connected to redundant core routers by a meshed, redundant switching fabric through either Fast Ethernet or Gigabit Ethernet connections.
In the WAN environment, the KodeNet fiber is connected to each data center by dual, physically diverse, fiber pathways¾. Each fiber pathway features a redundant fiber loop and connects to the KodeNet national backbone via two physically diverse POPs.
We also operate a Tier 1 IP backbone with over 10 Gbps of provisioned capacity to over 200 public and private peering partners.
